Kristin Fischer will join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. As a correspondent for Space and Defense Kristin Fisher is a reporter covering all aspects of space including NASA to the newly formed Space Force as well as commercial space companies and space tourism. Kristin was raised in the space sector as the daughter and granddaughter of NASA astronauts. In the past five years, she has reported on space policy during the Biden and Trump Administrations in FOX News. In addition to covering two presidential impeachment cases as well as the 2020 Presidential Campaign and the two administrations' attempts to limit the outbreak of coronavirus Kristin also covered a variety of other subjects. Kristin was on the road extensively, including both the president and vice-president. She even went on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan together with Donald Trump. Kristin was a local television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned the Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter before being hired by CBS in the year 2015. Kristin as a skilled filmmaker, founded Field Mouse Films, a company that specializes in documentary style films, for companies such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Boston University. She is married to her husband and their two children in Washington, D.C., and is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter.
